After Yash and Gopal had left mid-way through the trip, Ram and I proceeded to Machilipatnam. We woke up early and went to the Manginapudi beach early on Sunday morning. We missed the sunrise by just about ten minutes, but the landscape(seascape???) was still awesome. Here are a few snaps from there.

భీమవరంలో Augustine Hospital ప్రస్తుతం అయితే శిథిలావస్థలో ఉంది. అయినా ఊరికే అక్కడకి వెళ్ళి, ఆ hospitalని, అందులో మేము పుట్టిన గదిని(మా పెదనాన్నగారి జ్ఞాపకం ప్రకారం), hospitalలో చేరక ముందు మా అమ్మవాళ్ళు ఉన్న ఇంటిని చూసి వచ్చాము.
(by the way, ఇదే hospitalలో మా చుట్టాలందరూ కలిపి ఒక వంద మంది వరకు పుట్టారని అంచనా! అందులో మా first cousins ఒక పది మంది పైనే ఉంటారు. దాదాపుగా అందరినీ పుట్టిన తరువాత ఆ మామిడి చెట్టు పక్కన గదిలోనే ఉంచారు.)
అప్పటి Augustine Hospital board ఇది. ప్రస్తుతం అయితే ఒక్క అక్షరం కూడా కనపడడం లేదు.
అమ్మమ్మకి ఈ మామిడిచెట్టంటే sentiment అంట. ఆ వెనక కనపడే గదులలో కుడిపక్కకి ఉన్న గది అన్నా కూడా sentiment అంట.
Enter the Dragon! :-P ఇదే మా అమ్మని ఉంచిన post-natal ward అంట. మేము పుట్టిన labour room ఎక్కడో తెలియదు.
అదే గది! బయట నుంచి!
ఆ గది లోపల అన్నయ్య, నేను! (photo quality బాగా లేదు!)

Theme: పచ్చని పంటపొలాలు! గట్ట్ల మీద కొబ్బరిచెట్ట్లు! పల్చటి పొగమంచు!
Ram and I were going to our cousin(Prudhvi)'s wedding in Bhimavaram. Yash and Gopal accompanied us. :-) This is Gopal's first trip to the *real* coastal Andhra Pradesh. The last leg of our journey was through mesmerizing greenery and beautiful early morning mist. We started clicking away a short while after we crossed Akividu and stopped after we reached Bhimavaram. These are photos from our camera. I will update the album after Yash and Gopal send me the other pics. The photos were clicked from a running train, so there is definitely some blurring here and there. Try to ignore it. :-)

I feel that these social networks, of late, have started to function as the judiciary's extended arms (or, worse still, errand boys!). :-P "Google asked to divulge blogger's IP address!", "Orkut asked to close down community!" etc etc and now "Facebook asked to serve notice!" :-P

Orkut and IRCTC
I guess orkut.com has always had this feature - to help us find friends from our GMail contact list.

And I happened to have the customer care email address of IRCTC(care@irctc.co.in) in my GMail contact list. So Orkut promptly suggested that I add this person (http://www.orkut.co.in/Main#Profile.aspx?uid=5753934707887337645) up to my friend list.
P.S.: Yeah, I know! Even I thought that the reservation confirmation mails were automated until Orkut enlightened me this morning! :-P
